Apex men's ministry

Apex is a brotherhood of men striving to be the best we can be for God. Just as apex predators stand at the top out in the wild, we aim to rise to the highest standard of Christ-like manhood -- leading our families, strengthening our church, and impacting our community.

As a ministry of Bethany Baptist Church, we hold each other accountable, encourage one another daily, and challenge ourselves to grow in faith. Through our shared passion for the outdoors, we seek to lead other men to Christ-building bonds through adventure, fellowship, and a commitment to God's Word.

'Iron sharpens iron, and one man sharpens another.'
- Proverbs 27:17 -

2025 turkey rodeo

Apex Men's Ministry hosted its Inaugural Turkey Rodeo on Saturday, April 12, 2025 at Bethany Baptist Church. In a period of approximately four weeks, a small group of men from Bethany Baptist not only formed the Apex Men's Ministry, but also poured countless amounts of time, energy, and prayer into this event. 45+ men were in attendance for the event - which was a win within itself and all glory to God! And, many thanks to Corey Hale for being the guest speaker for the inaugural event.

Hale, a 2010 graduate of Luverne, was an NAIA All-American at the University of Mobile, and was selected by the San Diego Padres in the 2015 MLB Draft. Now, Hale works for Farm Systems, Inc., and is the Co-Founder/Owner of Sacred Hunt, a Christian-based outdoor ministry and brand. He and his wife, Becca, and their son, Easton, are members of Cornerstone Christian Fellowship Church in Luverne.

And last, but certainly not least, congratulations to the 2025 winners - Andy Pugh and Jantzen Flowers - for scoring the winning bird!
